A recent upgrade seems to have accidentally eliminated the 'add new comment' link from many posts. I will be looking into how to correct this, but given the time of term, it probably will be a bit before I can do so.

HL underwent an upgrade today. The feature that enabled the sending of posts as email has been temporarily disabled. Further upgrades are likely in the next week or two.

The quiz functionality now has short answer questions (which is suitable for fill-in-the-blank, as well). Matching will be added as soon as I can figure out how to make the questions come out right.

(1) Quiz user functionality has been expanded: Guests should now have full ability to create, edit, and delete their own quizzes. At present only multiple choice questions are available, but matching, short answer/fill in the blank, long answer, and true/false questions should be made available as soon as they can be tested and any bugs hunted down. UPDATE: True/false questions have been added. Others should be added in the upcoming months.

The site went down during upgrades for one hour on Thursday afternoon due to a problem with one of the module upgrades; apologies for any inconvenience.

An Atom feed has been added, for those who prefer Atom to RSS.

Starting Sunday HL will be receiving a series of major upgrades. On Sunday this will affect the availability of the site -- if all goes well, for perhaps a few minutes at most, and if not, for probably no more than half an hour. Upgrades after Sunday should have no effect on the site itself, being primarily administrative.

UPDATE: The major upgrade seems to have been successful; there will be minor tweaks and upgrades throughout the week. As stated above, however, they should not affect the site itself.

The YUI editor for posts is not currently showing up in Internet Explorer. This will be fixed at next upgrade, which I'm hoping will be this week.

Today I did some minor upgrades and updates, the most important of which is a security patch until I can do a complete upgrade for the whole site.

I notice that the 6.x version of the Bibliography module has been withdrawn in order to correct some "critical bugs". However, Houyhnhnm Land will continue running the module (which powers the Bookshelf) unless any critical issues arise, which doesn't seem likely, since the Bookshelf mostly relies on the basic functionality on the module, and not on any bells and whistles.

I will be keeping track of this, and will upgrade when the new release comes out.
