One of the things we are beginning this month here at Houyhnhnm Land is a Guest Blog, which will allow HL to provide a wider selection of perspectives and a richer variety of information. We hope to draw Guest Bloggers from a wide variety of research interests and disciplines.
If you are a philosopher, historian, theologian, or literary scholar, study some aspect of early modern thought, and are interested in being a Guest Blogger here, let me know! Guests have a wide leeway in presenting their own favorite topics on early modern thought, and it is a good way to show people from backgrounds very different from your own the intellectual riches of the early modern period that interest you. There are no requirements for how much one posts, and so there is plenty of room for posting on the schedule that is most convenient for you.
Guest Blog posts are typically published on the main page; but there is a feed especially for the Guest Blog, for those who are interested.
Since Guests have discretion as to when they start posting, I'll follow the practice of letting people know those who will be posting, and then simply leave it to Guests to introduce themselves and start their posting at such a time as they deem most convenient for themselves. The actual start of the Guest posting, after the mention, may be anywhere from hours to weeks, depending on what is most convenient for the Guests themselves.
Our first Guest will be Kenneth Pearce, a graduate student and Berkeley scholar at UC-Irvine.
